GELE STYLE PLUS VIDEO OF HOW TO TIE GELE/ICHAFU

Ichafu tying or Gele is a very important form of expressing our cultures and traditions in Nigeria. Ibos call this headgear, Ichafu while Yorubas call it Gele. This gele cannot be overlooked when it comes to occasions. The Yorubas especially, love and cherish this aspect of fashion like "kilode". Hardly would you attend a traditional wedding be it, Ibo or Yoruba, the gele is one that can be noticed because of its bold and sophisticated style of tying. The gele add extra beauty, that African natural to every African woman.
It is an art or skill that is either natural, inbuilt, or learnt. Most women are born with this skill and some acquire this skill, even men these days are good in tying geles. Mine is natural. I started tying gele when I was young for my mum and sister. Mum used to find it hard in tying gele especially for Sundays masses and I always helped out or i would tie a day before Sunday just so we won't be delayed for church.
That said, below are sophisticated headgear you would just love.

Just like mum and sis, a lot of you am sure, are also finding it difficult to tie gele so I got a video tutorial of how you can tie gele. This time, this video was not made by me but i got one from Ewar make overs. She's quite good. So, watch this video as a guide:
